2024 Toyota GR Supra Air Filter in Tampa, FL

It sits inside the intake airbox in the engine bay, ahead of the turbocharged inline-6 intake tract.

The 2024 Toyota GR Supra uses a sealed intake airbox that houses the engine air filter to protect the 3.0-liter turbocharged engine from debris. Access typically involves unclipping or unscrewing the airbox cover for inspection and replacement. Tampa- and Brandon-area roads can add dust and pollen to the intake path, so periodic checks help maintain performance.

• Engine air filter is housed in the intake airbox in the bay
• Protects the 3.0L turbo inline-6 from dirt and debris
• Inspect during routine service visits for restriction

The engine air filter protects the engine’s intake air, while the cabin air filter cleans the air that enters the HVAC system for passengers.

On the 2024 Toyota GR Supra, the engine filter supports combustion efficiency and turbocharger longevity, and the cabin filter targets dust, pollen, and fine particles for interior air quality. Both are serviceable items with distinct locations and materials. Our Toyota service team in Brandon can inspect both during one appointment.

• Engine filter: intake protection for performance and fuel quality
• Cabin filter: passenger air quality via HVAC system
• Separate parts, locations, and replacement procedures

Common signs include reduced power, lower fuel economy, and rougher idle for the engine filter, and weak airflow or musty odors for the cabin filter.

Your 2024 Toyota GR Supra’s turbocharged engine is sensitive to intake restriction, so watch for slower throttle response and increased fuel use. Inside the cabin, diminished fan output and persistent smells signal a saturated cabin filter. If you drive around Tampa or along coastal routes, debris and pollen can accumulate more quickly.

• Engine: hesitation, poorer MPG, uneven idle
• Cabin: reduced HVAC flow, dustier vents, odors
