Scion was established and created by a group of
forward-thinking people who wanted to design unique vehicles for a new
generation. Scion was designed to stand out from the crown and offered vehicles
that appealed to a younger audience, reflecting their own passions.
It was announced earlier this year that the Scion brand
would eventually be folded into the Toyota family. Toyota would like to
introduce the 2017 Yaris iA (formerly the Scion iA), the 2017 Corolla iM
(formerly the Scion iM) and the Toyota 86 (formerly the Scion FR-S).
2017 Toyota Yaris iA
The 2017 Toyota Yaris iA comes standard with unique 16-in.
split 5-spoke alloy wheels. The 2017 Yaris iA features LED turn signal
indicators on the outside mirrors, as well as Standard Daytime Running Lights providing
more safety and style. Inside, the Yaris iA comes standard with remote keyless
entry with Push Button Start and sport-contoured seats for the driver and front
passenger. Available options include Sport Mode, which adjusts the engine
control unit and shift points to give a sportier feel to your drive and when
equipped with an automatic transmission, the 2017 Yaris iA features a unique
manual shift mode. The Toyota Yaris iA also features a 7-in. touch-screen
display audio system that you control by directly touching the screen and
Bluetooth® wireless technology. The 2017 Yaris iA keeps safety in mind with its
standard advanced Active Safety System that includes Dynamic Stability Control
(DSC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic
Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Brake Over-ride System
(BOS).
2017 Toyota Corolla
iM
The 2017 Toyota Corolla iM features a sporty look. It comes
standard with an aggressive aero kit, bringing extra attitude to the front
fascia, side skirts and rear bumper and a black honeycomb grille. It also
features Standard LED Daytime Running Lights that are bright and efficient, as
well as power-folding and heated outside mirrors that help remove condensation.
On the inside, the 2017 Toyota Corolla iM features upscale, piano-black accents
that surround a 7-in. touch-screen that brings tech and beauty to this stylish
space. The available Display Audio with Navigation features standard AM/FM
radio, Aha Radio™ app with over 100,000 stations, iPod® connectivity and six
speakers give you the tunes to make every drive more memorable. The Toyota Corolla iM also features standard
dual zone climate control system and comes standard with a sport gauge cluster
and nestled between the gauges is a 4.2-in. color Multi-Information Display
that shares your average mpg, current song selection and more—all at a glance. Every
new Corolla iM comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense™ C (TSS-C) —an active
safety package that combines a Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert
(LDA) and Automatic High Beams (AHB) to assist you.
2017 Toyota 86
The 2017 Toyota 86 comes with a close-ratio 6-speed
transmission for incredible acceleration and impressive fuel economy. The automatic
transmission features a manual shift mode, letting you choose the gear you want
via the gear-select lever or steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Just a
simple pull of the lever allows the ability to quickly change gears while
keeping both hands on the wheel. The 86 features a classic sports car profile
with a long hood and a short rear deck. The restyled rear diffuser improves
airflow and reduces turbulent air exiting from under the car, adding function
to its street-ready attitude. On the inside, the 2017 86 features an
ergonomic, leather-wrapped steering wheel with new integrated audio controls,
giving you easier access to your music and helping you can stay in control of
it all. The 2017 Toyota 86 includes Smart Stop Technology that helps reduce
engine power when both the brake and gas pedals are pressed at the same time
under certain conditions. In addition, every 86 comes standard with Hill Start
Assist Control, which helps to keep the vehicle from rolling backward when
switching from brake to accelerator on an incline.
